Leticia
My name is Leticia Balli. Being a mother of five wonderful children makes me a very busy person, but I always make sure that I do something for myself that I love, which is scrapbooking. Scrapbooking has been my passion for about three years now. I have been given many great opportunities that I am greatful for, like being on the design team, teaching classes, and now working at Majestic Memories. Thanks to my husband of twenty years, I have a beautiful room that he gave to me for all my scrapbooking supplies. (But I think I need a bigger room now!) I LOVE everything that has to do with scrapbooking, so I'm in heaven when I go to work at Majestic Memories. Anyway, enough about me, I hope to see you in the store or in one of my classes soon.
I have always had a love for colors and texture. I started oil painting when I had small children and then oils were out of the question. Since then I have enjoyed many aspects of color but it is scrapbooking that allows one to see and touch rainbows while embracing the smooth and rough of it. In my real life I am a wife, mother and labor and delivery nurse and I love it, but with a family that includes three grandchildren making memories tangible is becoming more of a priority. With all of this in mind I am the starter of many pages and hoping to be able to complete nearly as many. This "not your ordinary book club" offers many different views of the same idea and everyone creates more. In the book a concept is shared and a new technique discovered. A great way to read and do a book.
My name is Scot Strehlow. Art and creativity have always been a big part of my life. I love bright, rich colors and modern patterns and textures. I became interested in card-making upon being introduced to rubber stamping about 5 years ago. My passion for stamping cards quickly evolved into scrapbooking and other creative projects. I enjoy making cards and gifts for family and friends, as well as sharing my knowledge and ideas with those who want to learn. I am intrigued by all of the wonderful supplies that are available in the card and scrapbook world, which is why I am addicted to purchasing it all! I learned my lesson the hard way - you better buy it when you see it if you really want it, because it may not be there when you decide (at least that's the excuse I use to justify my purchases). Luckily, I have an extremely supportive wife (now there's a little role reversal for you!). She has only recently become interested in scrapbooking but still leaves making cards to me. We have been married for 14 years and have two sons. I welcome you to visit the store and see my current card class designs as well as sign-up to have a great time! My name is Gayle Thompson and I’m addicted to learning and the computer, which can really come in handy for digital scrapbooking. I graduated from BYU “BC--Before Computers” but as soon as I got the chance I have learned as much as possible. I created the store newsletter for 2 years and I love a challenge when people ask me how to do something new. My latest passion has been scanning and photo editing my old family photos. I’m so glad I didn’t throw out those “not so great” pictures because now I can fix them.
